Church Planting with GCC
Multiplication isn’t a solo effort.
The GCC church planting process is designed as a partnership between GCC, planters, and churches to ensure that leaders are supported in Christ as they walk through the church planting process.
Connecting
Are you feeling called to plant a church? If you think the Great Commission Collective is a good fit to support you in your journey, then fill out our Become a Church Planter form to start getting in touch.
Assessment
Once we’ve gotten to know each other, we’ll use a Church Planter Assessment to evaluate your skill set for strengths and weaknesses, and we’ll make plans to fill in the skills-gaps you’ll need to lead a new church.
Training
Thorough, contextualized, training is vital for healthy church planting and for building lasting community. Our Church Planter Training combines modular learning and coaching to develop practical skills for planting and establishing a church and for growing as a leader.
Funding
An important part of planting is provision for the process. Through the Great Commission Fund, a dedicated financial mechanism, planters can apply for renewable grants for up to three years to supplement other fundraising strategies.
Launch
As provision is made and training concludes, it’s time to step out and launch the new church in the place to which God has called you as you’re supported by a family of pastors, planters, and network leaders dedicated to your spiritual health and planting success.
Strengthening
Planting is not the end of the process—it’s not the final goal. To build healthy, reproducing churches, we provide continuing partnership to strengthen leaders and support the church for years to come.

Church and Leadership Support

Church Visits
Upon invitation from the church, a GCC team member can meet with you and your elders to offer counsel or assess certain areas of the church and provide feedback.

Conferences
The GCC Gathering is an annual ministry conference for the fellowship, refueling, and equipping of member churches and leaders. We also host regional gatherings or online webinars to offer training and care for Pastors, Ministry Wives, Leaders, and Elders.

Coaching and Consulting
GCC offers leadership coaching by other Sr. Pastors or GCC Staff in an ongoing relationship for a specific time frame. The GCC Team or approved partners can aid with short-term and issue-focused consulting.

Counseling
GCC provides supplemental care to leaders who may need individual or marital counsel or short-term care. GCC has a leader care team with qualified biblical counselors ready to help as needed.

Cohorts
Cohorts are small gatherings designed to provide group-based coaching to pastors or leaders in similar stages or types of ministry. They focus on training in competencies, practices, and growth as a godly leader.

Crisis Care
The leadership care team is ready to help when a leader or church team is in crisis. We will assess the best way to assist and either meet with you onsite or get the right resources in place to support leadership.
